A little about us here at the creek. I’m Monica and my husband is Peter. We live in the beautiful mountains of Southwest Virginia. We have 5 stair-stepped aged children whom we raise on the family farm. There’s never a dull moment at our house. We live on a dirt road surrounded by cattle, pastures, and woods. Our road is one of the last remaining state maintained roads with no fences, which means the cattle cross the road just as the cars do, to get where they want to go.
In addition to trying to raise our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord, we raise chickens for eggs, tap our own maple trees for sap, cut our own firewood, and garden. We live on one farmer’s income and homeschool our kids. We love Jesus and people! On any given day you might drive by and see anywhere from 2 to 13 kids in our yard.
We don’t have much according to the eyes of the world, but in Christ we are rich and full 😉
Thanks for taking the time to read about our little family. We hope you’ll find something on our blog that inspires you or just gives you a good laugh. For a joyful heart is good medicine 😉
